''New Momentum—Cultured Bay Area, Brilliant Intangible Cultural Heritage: Showcase of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intangible Cultural Heritage'' Exhibition

To enhance the development of the Cultured Bay Area, Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao have jointly organised the "Cultured Bay Area, Brilliant Intangible Cultural Heritage — Showcase of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intangible Cultural Heritage". This event aims to present the vibrant panorama of the Greater Bay Area's intangible cultural heritage (ICH), showcasing its continuity of cultural lineage and shared prosperity.

The two events in Hong Kong and Shenzhen – the "Celebrating National Day — Auspicious Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Greater Bay Area" Exhibition and the "New Year in Shenzhen.GBA Reunion" "Cultured Bay Area, Brilliant ICH — 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intangible Cultural Heritage Show" Exhibition – were successfully concluded in the first half of 2025. As the third stop of the event, Macao, themed "New Momentum", features the vitality of heritage transmission in the Greater Bay Area through exhibition and performances, highlighting the shared cultural roots of ICH across Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Hong Kong showcases 15 ICH items, including exhibits and introductions to Cantonese opera, Guangcai (The Canton Famille Rose Porcelain) making technique, and mahjong tile making technique. The opening ceremony features a performance of the representative item of the National ICH "Hakka unicorn dance in Hang Hau in Sai Kung".

The exhibition comprises four sections showcasing ICH items from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao: "Lingnan Essence", "Geometric Genesis", "Sonic Whimsy", and "Beyond the Form".
