"Revelry of Auspicious Shadows" Pixiu Dance Performance

Pixiu is a mythical beast believed to bring wealth and good luck, protect homes and avert danger. During the festive celebrations, some communities perform the pixiu dance to seek blessings and ward off evil. The Hong Kong Lion House Dragon Lion Sports Association will present the pixiu dance performance. Master Chung Ho-sing will share the history and cultural significance of the Hakka pixiu dance, and an interactive session will also be held. Through the pixiu dance performance, the audience members can deepen their understanding of this local ICH item and appreciate its distinctive charm.

"Dancing with the Pixiu" Demonstration & Interactive Booth on Pixiu Dance

This booth offers participants the chance to try performing the pixiu dance and learn its basic movements. Participants can also take photos with the paper-crafted pixiu as a memento and experience the charm of this ICH item up close.

"Revitalising the Art of Paper Crafting" Paper-crafted Pixiu Display

The display showcases innovative pixiu creations by students of veteran paper crafting master Hui Ka-hung. It offers the public an opportunity to appreciate the fusion of tradition and contemporary elements in these works, as well as the meticulous craftsmanship involved in this ICH practice.
