2023 GBA Intangible Cultural Heritage Life Festival

The "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day" of 2023 was scheduled for 10 June this year. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, together with the Dongguan Municipal People's Government, held the "'The Pop Future of Intangible Cultural Heritage‧Dragons Rising in the GBA' — 2023 Guangdong (Dongguan) 'Cultural and Natural Heritage Day' and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao GBA (Guangdong) Dragon Boat Invitation Tournament". The Intangible Cultural Heritage Office (ICHO) was invited to attend the kick-off ceremony of the "Guangdong (Dongguan) 'Cultural and Natural Heritage Day'" and participated in one of the main venue activities, "Life Festival", promoting heritage conservation through cultural exchange and mutual learning from the ICH projects in the Greater Bay Area.

The ICHO invited a Hong Kong-style milk tea master, Mr. Donald Tse, to demonstrate the "Hong Kong-style Milk Tea Making Technique" on site, brewing hot milk tea to share and promote Hong Kong's food culture. The demonstration was well-received by the mainland citizens, and interviews were conducted by the media.
