To complement the "Sham Shui Po Summer Reading Programme: Discover Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH): The Academy of Intangible Cultural Heritage", the Hong Kong Public Libraries and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office jointly organise panel exhibitions at the three public libraries in Sham Shui Po district. The exhibitions introduce three local ICH items including Mid-Autumn Festival - the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance, Paper Crafting Technique and Sek Pun (Basin Feast) which were inscribed onto the Representative List of the ICH of Hong Kong. It is hoped to raise the public understanding of traditional festivals and craftsmanship in Hong Kong.

The Public Libraries in Sham Shui Po district are also organising a series of activities in relation to ICH items in Hong Kong, including workshops, storytelling for children, game sheet, book display, etc. and distributing ICH-related library resources guide. For more details of the activities, please check out Hong Kong Public Libraries' website: https://www.hkpl.gov.hk/en/extension-activities/event/257746/sham-shui-po-summer-reading-programme-discover-intangible-cultural-heritage-the-academy-of-intangible-cultural-heritage.

The exhibition is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series. The LCSD has long been promoting Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public to learn more about the broad and profound Chinese culture.
