To complement the Series on Chinese Cultural Study Hall: "Delights of Intangible Cultural Heritage", the Hong Kong Public Libraries and the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Office jointly organise panel exhibitions at the three public libraries in the Kwai Tsing district. The exhibitions introduce various local ICH items on traditional craftsmanship, including Bamboo Theatre Building Technique, Wooden Furniture Crafting Technique, Jade Carving Technique, Paper Crafting Technique and Umbrella Making Technique. The Public Libraries in Kwai Tsing district are also organising a series of activities about ICH items in Hong Kong, including workshops, talks, book displays, etc. For more details on the activities, please check out the Hong Kong Public Libraries' website.

 

The exhibitions are also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series. The LCSD has long been promoting Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public to learn more about the broad and profound Chinese culture.
