This exchange visit forms part of the curriculum for the New Generation Research and Training Programme on Macao's Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) 2025. 30 participants engaged in Macao's ICH work gained insights into Hong Kong's ICH development and transmission through visits to the Hong Kong ICH Centre and hands-on experiences in the drawn work figurine making technique. Meanwhile, they also interacted with museum curators and ICH practitioners of Hong Kong to foster future collaboration.

Activity Highlights

Ms Judith Ng, Head of ICH Office, introduced Hong Kong's ICH and the work of the ICH Office.

 

 

 

Mr Choi Tat-yiu shared and demonstrated the drawn work figurine making technique and guided participants in making drawn work figurines.

 

 

 

Participants visited the Hong Kong ICH Centre to explore the diverse ICH items in Hong Kong, as well as the history, architecture and exhibitions of Sam Tung Uk.
