ICH Highlight Tours — Islands District

 

Field Trips

To tie in with the theme "ICH Around Town", the ICH Office will recommend six handpicked districts, namely Yau Tsim Mong, Tsuen Wan, Tai Po, Sha Tin, Eastern and Islands, for the launch of "ICH Highlight Tours". The public can join ICH field trips organised by the ICH Office and delve into the Islands District to explore ICH-related traditional craftsmanship or other items and feel the richness and diversity of ICH.

  • The Peng Chau Yuet Lung Sing Yuen (Lung Mo Temple) will hold the Lung Mo Festival on the seventh and eighth days of the fifth lunar month (2 and 3 June 2025), with chanting scriptures as the main ritual.

Man Cheong (God of Literature) and Mo Tai (God of Martial Art) Festival of Mui Wo

  • The Man Cheong and Mo Tai Festival will be held at Pak Ngan Heung, Mui Wo, Lantau on the thirteenth day of the fifth lunar month, with rituals consisting of the enshrinement ceremony for lions, worshipping, celebration, and more.
