"Hong Kong ICH Month 2026" Opening Ceremony cum ICH Carnival

With the theme of "Unlock ICH · Boundless Inheritance", the Carnival creates a trans-generational, community-connecting cultural event that presents rich Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) experiences to the public and visitors. This year's event invites both experienced and emerging ICH practitioners to bring stage performances, parades, and ICH promotion booths to citizens and tourists. Flash mob performances that are newly featured this year will break stage boundaries, allowing citizens and tourists to encounter ICH items and interact directly.

To promote ICH creative products and encourage the integration of ICH into daily life, a brand-new ICH Creative Market will be launched this year. The market will feature a number of stalls through an open recruitment process, inviting the public to unleash their creativity in producing handicrafts, traditional foods, cultural and creative products that incorporate elements of ICH and bring together ICH tradition and innovation.

More programme details will be announced in due course. Please stay tuned.
