Bringing Hong Kong ICH to Life

To complement the exhibition revamp and enrich visitors' experience both online and offline, a new mural is now to be seen on the exterior wall of Sam Tung Uk Museum. This mural depicts various Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) items in Hong Kong. The mural incorporates multimedia elements, allowing visitors to appreciate the mural on site and scan the QR code (located in the top left-hand corner of the mural) to access the virtual "Wall Mural". Moreover, visitors can engage in an "Augmented Reality (AR) Colouring Game" to blend their unique colouring work with the physical world, thus bringing Hong Kong ICH to life.

The mural is physically on the exterior wall of Sam Tung Uk Museum (next to the entrance of the MTR Tsuen Wan Depot), in 2 Kwu Uk Lane, Tsuen Wan. Please click here to visit the virtual "Wall Mural".

Useful Tips:

1) Beyond browsing the brief about the selected items by clicking on the animation of the virtual "Wall Mural", the "AR Colouring Game" is accessible through the gamepad icon in the bottom left-hand corner.

2) After entering the "AR Colouring Game", please choose your favourite image to continue with either digital colouring or printable colouring to unleash your creativity.

3) To optimise the game experience, it is recommended to engage in the "Digital Colouring" with a smartphone and then view the animated work in AR. For those who continue with "Printable Colouring", they may also use a device to scan the QR code at the bottom right-hand corner of the colouring page to experience the AR function.

4) Scan the QR codes to visit the virtual "Wall Mural" and "AR Colouring Game" direct.
